A summer rain shower had just finished and I went outside with my camera to explore water on flowers. I saw this beautiful Bird of Paradise flower and knew this was the shot I was looking for.I used focus stacking to capture this image, with over 100 individual images being captured to get this detail. To me, it almost resembles blown glass and I love how vibrant the blues and yellows are.

I saw the osprey catch a bream from, appropriately, The Bream Hole at Lennox Head but wasn?t quick enough to snap the picture as it flies overhead. They usually take their catch to the pine trees by the lake so I was surprised to see the bird land on a nearby log. I approached slowly and was able to spend around 40 minutes photographing the beautiful bird until a pelican landed and chased it away.

Location: Upper Glen Alpine Falls. I hiked to this location after sunset. The foreground is a single photo I took during the blue hour for clarity and sharpness. I couldn't wait for the Milky Way at this location due to high bear activity it was almost dark by the time I hiked back to the car. The Milky Way picture is a stack of 19 frames for noise reduction, taken a few hours later over Lake Tahoe, which is just a few miles away from the falls.Edited in Luminar Neo.

This shot was taken on my first day into this trip. My wife and I decided to spend Labor Day weekend in the mountains which was wonderful but also very busy which isn't the best for wildlife photography. However, I did come away with some good shots from my outing (mostly landscape) and this is by far one of my favorite. I love how the light is striking the deer's face while he is mostly shrouded in shadow. I took this with a Nikon 200-500mm @ 500, 1/160s, ISO 100 and f6.3. I shot this across th

Was out looking for anything to photograph on one my few days off from work. So I went to the plot of land where I deer hunt. Any wild flower that may still be in bloom, insects, things like that. Tons of grasshoppers everywhere and I came across this fella. I didn't realize he possibly had a wounded left wing until I processed the photos. No wonder he sat thru many different angles, exposures, and me getting up in his face and didn't offer to fly off.
